Our story
Welcome to Greenheart Kitchens, Since our establishment in 1990, we have been at the forefront of creating exquisite in frame shaker style cabinets. That elevate the beauty and functionality of the home.
Nestled in the heart of Cardiff, our state-of-the-art Workshop serves as the birthplace of these timeless designs, where our skilled team uses traditional techniques with modern precision to bring your dream kitchen to life .
Greenheart Kitchens is a family run business, Started by Founder Stephen who has been a carpenter for the past 50 years.
Materials & Components
Greenheart's Shaker kitchen range is all in-frame and handmade using both the finest timbers and superior components. We use solid hardwood fronts which are kiln dried to ensure stability. Our carcasses are made out of 100% solid wood which is FSC or PEFC certified . When choosing the materials we wanted to ensure that the cabinets would be extremely strong, durable and long lasting.
We ensure all our components are of the highest quality to create furniture with longevity and functionality at its forefront. Our drawers sit on Blum soft close Blumotion drawer runners which can hold 30kg. We have found these to be the smoothest and quietest runners.
Attention to the finest detail allows us to go the extra mile. Our door closing systems use Elite magnets which have a 2kg holding force. These magnetic catches are hidden beneath the surface of the wood to offer a sophisticated and smooth closure.
All our hinges are sunken in to make them seamless. We use brushed stainless steel butt hinges that are not only pleasing to the eye but are also extremely hard wearing and sturdy.
Construction
We use mortise and tenon joints on our doors and carcasses. We dovetail all drawer boxes which are strong and pleasing to the eye.
We include the plinths as part of the unit design. You can choose to purchase cornice which will be supplied in over sized lengths that you can cut down to size to allow for a custom fit.
